An Overview of PTO Events

 


PTO Meetings

 

Waugh PTO meetings are generally held the 1st Tuesday of every month at 7pm with the first half of the year in the Meadow MPR and the second half of the year in the Corona Creek MPR. Feel free to come as early as 6:30pm.  Come find out our plans for the school year and how you can get involved! 

 

For those that cannot make it, there will be a zoom link available.

This is open to all Waugh families at both Meadow and Corona Creek.

Class Postings

Join us at both Meadow and Corona Creek this Friday, August 11th from 4-6pm for the annual Waugh School District class postings event where you will learn your child's class assignment for the 2023/2024 school year!  Kona Ice will be available for purchase at Meadow and Oskey's Ice Cream will be available for purchase at Corona Creek.  

The Waugh PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) will be on-site to help you sign up for your annual Waugh PTO membership.  We will also have a limited amount of Waughsome Meadow Hawk and Corona Creek Cougar spirit wear and stickers for sale. 

Dine & Donates


Join us each month for a Monthly Dine & Donate.  You can typically dine in or take out and help support the Waugh School District by mentioning the Waugh PTO!  We will earn a % back on all orders for our schools! Check our newsletter and dine and donate page for details!

Kona Ice on Campus

 

Kona Ice will be on both parked at both Campuses (Meadow and Corona Creek) throughout the school year from 1:15PM - 3:00PM.  Bring your Kollectable or Color Changing Cup from home for a $4 refill!

 

Kona Ice accepts Cash, Card Venmo, CashApp and Apple Pay!

Outdoor Movie Night
 

This FREE event is open to all Waugh families!  Arrive as early as 6:15pm on Friday, September 22nd in the Corona Creek Courtyard.  The movie will start at 7:00pm.  Feel free to bring your own food, blankets, chairs, etc. Concessions will be available to purchase and popcorn will be FREE!  This is NOT a drop off event. Movie TBD!

Fun Run

 

This event is loved by all and is crucial for funding the Waugh School District’s Music, Art, Library and Technology programs (MALT) and Teacher Classroom Funds. Our goal this year is to raise $125,000, as this is the biggest fundraiser for the 2023/2024 school year! To collect donations, we will be using PledgeStar, an awesome web based fundraising system that makes it easy for you to request pledges from your family and friends, and for them to make secure credit card donations online. It's fun, it's easy, and it’s a great way to raise funds.

 

The Fun Run is during the school day on Friday, October 6th, so please register to earn prizes and raise as much as we can for the Waugh School District. Donations will be accepted until October 8th. Prizes will be awarded weekly and will be delivered to your child's classroom.

Jingle Bell Run

 

We are excited for the annual Jingle Bell Run this year!  Come join us on Saturday, December 9th, 2023 at 8:30am at Corona Creek for the 5k family run!  There will be a 1-mile run option as well as a 5k. Families can run together and dress up in holiday costumes/attire!  This is a family friendly event, so feel free to bring siblings, strollers and be ready to have a blast!  Children Ages 3 and under are free!  We can't wait to see you!

PJ Bingo

 

We are so excited for our annual PJ Bingo Night!  On Thursday, January 25th from 5:30pm - 7:00pm in both the Meadow and Corona Creek Multi-Purpose Rooms.  Wear your favorite pajamas and join us for a family night of fun!  We will have FREE bingo, milk and cookies!  Pizza will be available for purchase!

 

Children must remain under parental supervision at all times. This is not a drop off event.

 

Waugh PTO Gala

 

The Waugh PTO Gala is an adults only event to raise money for our school district!  Save the Date! Saturday, March 9, 2024 is the Waugh PTO 2024 Gala at the Petaluma Community Center!  More details to come regarding this Adult Only event!  Ticket sales will be open after the new year!  

 

If you would like to volunteer to help with the event or planning the event (either before, during or after), we could use more volunteers to make this event successful!

 

We are also looking for auction item donations from our Waughsome Community!  Please contact waughptoevents@gmail.com if you have anything you would be able to donate to this fundraiser!

 

Spring Carnival

 

The Waugh PTO is excited to have the Spring Carnival again this year! This is a family friendly event, and we welcome all of our Waugh families to attend!  We will be having lots of carnival games, prizes and concessions at the event.  More details to come!

Staff Appreciation Week

 

May 6th - May 10th is our Waugh Staff Appreciation Week. During this time, we celebrate all our staff members for their hard work into providing a safe and caring learning community for our children. We ask for donations are listed below (please note the correct school). We are planning a Starbucks custom coffee day, lunch, brunch and other fun things!  In addition to donations, we also have poster signups for staff. This is a tradition that the staff looks forward to. More information to come!
