Waugh Staff Appreciation Week - May 5th- 9th

Staff Appreciation Week is coming up (May 5th - May 9th) and we want to send a HUGE THANK YOU to our Waugh community for helping us to show our thanks to teachers and all staff members next week. 

This year, we are going to have a "Fun Friday" that your child(ren) can participate in on Friday, 5/9. This is optional and details are listed below. Thank you for your help in making this a great week for Meadow and Corona Creek staff!

Fun Friday:
    We will be creating bouquets of flowers for the teachers. The PTO will be outside of both campuses on Friday morning (5/9) before school selling flowers to make a bouquet for the teachers. Each flower will be $1.00, and they can pick out what they would like to add to the vase. You can also bring a flower from home if you'd like!

Other ideas your student can do for our staff during the week include writing a nice note of appreciation, drawing them a picture, or any other thoughtful idea they have!

Each year, we start the week off right with a custom ordered coffee from Starbucks for every Waugh staff member! Thank you to everyone that donated to the Starbucks Coffee order, it is very much appreciated so we can spoil our staff even more throughout the week with our budgeted funds.  We also want to thank everyone that signed up to create fun uplifting posters for our teachers and staff!  This is something that our staff members look forward to every year, so thank you for helping make it special again this year.

May's Dine & Donate is at Mary's Pizza Shack in in Petaluma on Tuesday, May 20th!  Mention the Waugh PTO fundraiser and we earn 20% on all To-Go’s Deliveries and In-House orders for our schools!  Plus, it works all day! Parents can order lunch for themselves earlier and then come back with the entire family for some family fun!

Waugh PTO Executive Board Positions 2025/2026

We are gearing up for the 2025/2026 Waugh School Year and that means a shift in available Board Positions as members of our current board change positions and move on from holding a board position. Although we have many of our existing board members planning to return, all positions are open for the 2025/2026 School Year.

 

We will be holding elections for the Waugh PTO Board for the 2025/2026 School year on Tuesday, May 27th at 7pm at our Annual Elections Meeting and final Board Meeting of the current school year. Please review the available positions we are looking to fill and complete the google form below if you are interested in joining our Board for the 2025/2026 School Year. If you do not see a position that works for you but are interested in being involved with the PTO and Board, please contact us and we can work with you to create a position that fits your strengths. The more involvement from our community, the more we can collectively bring to our schools. As the PTO is a volunteer organization, community involvement directly affects how much we can do throughout the year.

New Spiritwear store!!

 

The Waugh PTO is EXTREMELY EXCITED to announce our new Spirit Wear store for the 2024/2025 School Year!  There are so many options to choose from: T-Shirts, hoodies, zip-ups, shorts, sweatpants, hats, cups, bags, blankets, Mom & Dad options, Grandparent options, Teacher options and more!  The store will be open all year long, 24/7 and your orders will ship directly to your house!

 

The Waugh PTO will earn 10% of all sales that in turn will go back towards the Waugh School District's Music, Art, Library, and Technology Programs and teacher classroom funds.

It's time to sign up for a Waugh PTO 2024/2025 Membership! Please help support our Waughsome Students and Staff all year long!  You can choose how much time you can contribute.  

There is no minimum level of participation required to be a general PTO member.

The Waugh PTO is a Parent Teacher Organization that supports and enriches our students, teachers and schools by fundraising for music, art, library and technology programs, while also providing teacher classroom funds, and engaging families through community events.
